Writing books is hard. For me it is anyway. There are people out there who can manage to put out a novel a month, but I can only assume those are folks with a singular sense of purpose and an unnatural amount of dedication to their craft.
In my case, however, I have a day job. A wife. Household chores. More kids than I know what to do with (it took me a little while to figure out where they were coming from). And now, I have a puppy.
I’m still trying to figure out how it happened. My wife showed me a picture of a dog she saw on Facebook and I said it was cute. Then I heard my youngest daughter cry out, “HE DIDN’T SAY NO!”
Apparently, saying “it’s cute” is the same as yelling, “@#%@ YEAH! WE NEED SOMETHING IN OUR HOUSE TO EAT OUR FURNITURE AND BAPTISE OUR BRAND NEW CARPET IN PUPPY URINE! LET’S DO THIS!!!”
Anyway, within seventy hours of NOT clearly listing all the reasons we should not get a puppy, I now have a dog. Wrapped around my feet as I type this, snoring at a volume that could induce incontinence in a water buffalo and, because of her de-worming medication, passing gas like an interstate trucker in the immediate aftermath of an unholy sauerkraut and hard-boiled egg feeding frenzy.
Obviously, within the last two weeks, we’ve kind of become kindred spirits.

Progress
Moloch’s Garden is plugging along and looks to be on track for a July, 2023 release. The first draft is at about fifty percent completion and I plan on getting to work on the cover design as soon as the skin for NARMAN’S PYKE is in the bag.
We’re still hammering out the details on the cover to NARMAN’S PYKE, but the image at left is a little tease of what it is shaping up to look like.
We are WAY ahead of schedule on this one and will make our April 1, 2023 release date in spades.
